Don't Sweat the small stuff

Stress is a huge problem in our society today. This is because we have a lot to worry about. Jobs, relationships, school, and countless other things. There is little things that can set us off. Stress is bad if it is constant because it effects your immune system and can make you sick. Ways that you can control your stress is through acts of mindfulness like meditation or exercise. Get in a different mind set that doesn't worry about little things that shouldn't rile you up. So don't sweat the small stuff.

Sports

Being active is a very important part of staying healthy. This is accomplished through many ways. Being active at least 30 minutes a day keeps a person healthy. Playing a sport is an easy way to stay active. But after high school, it is hard to stay involved in the sport is hard. You can get involved with clubs at the local park or with a league. However, sometimes the sport gets overwhelming. This is one of the reasons that people get involved in less traditional activities to stay active. These activities don't take as much of a toll on your body but still keep you active enough to stay healthy. Some of these activities include but are not limited to; skiing, hiking, archery/hunting, kayaking and canoeing, paddle boarding, snow shoeing, rock climbing, and biking or mountain biking. Some of these are high intensity activities that will tax the joints and muscles more than others. These are seasonal activities that make it possible to be active all year round.

changing weather

Tis the season when blankets come out, and being next to a fire sounds like the most satisfying thing. Because the temperature outside is decreasing, the common theme is for everyone to snuggle in and basically hibernate. Only going outside when absolutely necessary and limiting the amount of time spent in the cold. But this should not be the case. Cold weather can be dangerous if too cold, but when the temperature is at a reasonable chilliness, the effort to go outside should be as ambitious as when it is warmer. Being outside is a great way to boost the mood, and get exposed to the sun. It gives you more energy and keeps you healthy. The only change that should be made when the weather changes is that we should be aware of the dangers posed and make the appropriate changes to make being outside still fun.

Adventure is out there

Most think that you have to plan and go somewhere exciting to have an adventure. But the reality is you can have an adventure anywhere. According to Google, adventure is defined as "daring and exciting activity calling for enterprise and enthusiasm".  Excitement means something different to everyone however. Whether it is going zip lining in Costa Rica, or hiking at the local park, both are adventures. When you do something different that gets you excited, that is a true adventure. It doesn't matter how much money or planning goes into it. Anything can be an adventure.
